Magical Names?

Magical Names, a subject that I ran across a few years ago when I got fairly active on the internet and pagan topics. I felt to myself, what’s the point? Why bother? Is it really that big of a deal.

I decided that no, it really wasnt’. I mean really, ‘What’s in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet’ -Shakespeare.

So, I went on with life. I joined a few communities, and then I joined myspace. I went through a series of screen names, and always, came back to the same thing. lala.

I don’t think I’d really known at the time, that I’d stumbled across a name for myself. One that held magic for me. To me, lala is magical. It means everything and nothing, all at the same time. A phrase that you can say when you’re board. Lovely notes in a song.

So, What’s in a Name? Shakespeare’s line resonates in my mind. I know that the meaning behind this phrase is that, what matters is what something or someone is. Not what it’s called.

I agree, at the same time… A name can be fairly descriptive, and can embody all that you are, and all that you strive to become. Even when you don’t really realize it.

For example, I just learned recently that there is a chant or Mantra with lala in it.
OM LALA, SHANTI, SHANTI, LALA, OM LALA AH HUM HRI !
lol… It’s surprising the things that you learn when you’re not even expecting to learn them.

Upon learning of the mantra, I did a little bit of research on Lala.
The Origin of lala is an Arabic expression meaning, “Night Beauty.”
In Serbian and Croatian Lala means tulip.

Fairly interesting I’d like to think. To me, it still means the same thing. Everything and nothing, all at the same time. It’s also an enourmous amount of energy. Usually positive, often very random.

Yes, lala suits me. I think that it always will.
Thanks for listening to lala on being lala, I do hope that you’ve enjoyed.
